I found the approach taken in this book to be quite refreshing. These gentlemen seem to realize that no two people are alike and "Belly Fat" does not come from one distinct cause. The authors give several sources that the reader can refer to later for further study and research.
This book is a great little book if you are not aware of how evil sugar can be. Written in a easy to read and follow format the authors lay it out all on the line for you. While this book is shorter it is packed with helpful info, insight and stats to get you on the right track! So put down that donut and read this book!
This book was comprehensive in explaining different kinds of fat, medical terms, and remedies. I consider myself informed about many health issues. However, it was great to read and learn something new, especially about the debate on whole grains. I plan to implement this information. It made me think of it as a health issue and not only physical appearance. My 20 days start now! Thanks!

You probably know that sugar is bad for you <no spoiler alert needed>... But, do you know what else is contributing to the epidemic of belly fat around the USA and the world??? I'll give you a hint it is not just walking around Walmart making you fat and prone to disease.
So get this book and learn something new for your health.
I was optimistic when I read the blurbs for this book, but after after I bought it I realized that while there is a few nuggets of good nutritional advise, most of the book is a diatribe against pharmaceutical companies and processes food. I wish it spent more time focusing on the positive benefits of eating low or no processed food and exercise. I would not recommend it to my friends. Save your money and google the American Cancer Associations diet recommendations.
While this book does give explanations of what types of fat we have in our belly, it also gives explanations of what causes belly fat. It has information on fight or flight, carbohydrates, good fats, exercises, and links to websites. The book itself is a quick read, not going to in-depth on any one subject.
The book is not a diet book. It is more about who, why, where, how, and what. I didn't learn anything new, except a few exercises that may help strengthen my core. If they are done correctly and your core isn't weak, you may strengthen your core. However, if you truly have belly fat, your core is undoubtedly weak and you may cause injury to your back.
These guys take a shot at the food and medicine industries, pointing out some truths that are gradually being revealed to the world, and full marks to them for doing so. Big bellies, obesity, call it what you will, they are the product of a range of vested interests that have gotten out of control. Leaving that aside, what is offered in this book is a series of 'take it as you will' measures that will allow you to get some control over how you eat, how you feel, and ultimately how you will live and die. The book is really a sampler of recent ideas and research into eating and how you get fat. Plenty of references are provided for those inclined to follow up and search out the objective evidence for the prescribed measures. I read the book in an hour or so, and it cost me the price of a latte. Perhaps this will be the best few dollars and time you will spend in quite some while.
